त्रिवृन्मुष्टींस्तु सनखानष्टौ द्रोणेऽम्भसः पचेत् |
पादशेषं कषायं तं पूतं गुडतुलायुतम्||

Barley is steam boiled with the decoction of Shyama (the number of Trivrt having black root) and Trivrt ( the variability having pink  root). This steam boiled barley (Kulmasa) is added with water and made to ferment for six days in a vessel coated with heap of grains. The Sauviraka (bitter drink) thus ready is used for purgation.
Alternatively, the unhooked and clear grains of barely is roasted. To this, the powder of trivrt is added together with water and made to ferment within the above talked about method. When fermented, this Tusodaka (a sort of bitter drink) is used for purgation. [72-73]

hṛdyāṃśca mṛtpuṣpaphalapravālānamlaṃ ca dadyādupajighraṇārtham||76||

Purgative recipe is run together with Tvak (cinnamon ), Kesara (Saffron), Amrataka, Dadima (Pomegranate), Ela (cardamom), sitopala (sugar having massive crystals), honey, Matulunga, wine and bitter drink that are pleasing to the affected person.
