Cancelled Journey
Final weekend we have been packing as much as head to Charlotte when my sister and I texted one another at nearly the identical time: Birch and Avery have been each getting sick. The Quirk is quirky, inventive, and trendy. Mazen LOVED it saying it was the nicest lodge he’d ever stayed in (which can be true?!). We an exquisite keep!
The one damaging for me was that parking was $25. Contemplating we may have walked there, I wasn’t keen to pay that. However fortunately I discovered a spot on the road behind the lodge that wasn’t one-hour Saturday evening by means of Sunday morning, so our automotive was good during our go to.
Our Room
Our room was very snug. We appreciated the free Wi-Fi, mini fridge, white noise machine, and robes (by request).

That View Tho
We acquired fortunate with a ravishing heat day. This was my first time up on the roof and it was HUGE! I had no thought it was so good up there, and the meals was excellent. We will’t wait to return for an additional dinner.

Shrimp Nachos
We began with nachos with shrimp with a scrumptious white cheese sauce.
Maze proclaimed these the “greatest nachos ever.” They have been wonderful! We acquired an additional aspect of that incredible cheese sauce to shine them off.
Winter Salad
I had this winter salad with apple, blue cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, crispy northern beans, and child kale. It was FANTASTIC! We had plans to get a pizza too, however we determined we have been happy after these two dishes.

Basketball + Cake In Mattress
Again in our room we watched the Duke / UNC sport ( unhappy face ) and ate our Cake Bloom!
Breakfast
Foolish Mazen was up at 5:20 AM!!!!!!! He will need to have been too excited. I feel I managed to snooze till 6:30 after which we have been up for good.
After I attempted the in-room Keurig espresso and couldn’t drink it, we went right down to the Quirk Café for actual espresso and pastries.
M had a cinnamon roll and I had a tremendous blueberry muffin that was nonetheless heat. And a few actually good espresso.
We relaxed within the room for a bit, took one other bathe, after which headed dwelling to Thomas and Birch. I do know this evening away meant a lot to Mazen. We had a good time collectively!
And we each laughed when the lady on the entrance desk mentioned “Secure travels!”
